“She knew she loved him when ‘home’ went from being a place to being a person”
Everytime I travel to New York, I always manage to meet new friends. Last summer during our Ballet inspired elopement in Central Park, I met make up and hair artist from Blush in Love, Selda Cortes. She approached me sometime after our meeting for a style shoot in Up State New York. Well, of course I said yes! The concept of this design was a backyard wedding turning into a whimsical lush garden and forest. From the beginning, the design concept at this private estate in New York, was sketched with a lush floral backdrop and hand painted dishware. Detail escort cards with digital calligraphy were wrapped around the baguette loaf tied with a rosemary strand. The brides make up and hair was beautifully done by Selda Cortes from Blush in Love and Maple Pang. The accessories from BHLDN matched just right with Louis Vuitton nude colored ballerina flats and the bridal gown by Isabelle Armstrong. The invitation suite was simple with modern calligraphy, made from cotton handmade paper. It also had ripped edges with an envelope liner filled with a variety of pink and green florals. A matching belly band and menu folio held the invitation suite together captivating the whimsical feel. The beautiful array of pink and white floral by Events by O9 and the photography captured by Leriam Photgraphy, made this up state New York home look and feel like a whimsical backyard forest.
